Overview
The Alpha & Beta Series of axial roof units are designed for a wide range of free intake and ducted exhaust air installations. These robust but lightweight exhaust units are available in 7 sizes in each range extending from 315 to 630mm diameter.

Features and Benefits
Design
This series has been constructed with a robust yet lightweight design to be used in a wide range of free intake or ducted exhaust air applications. The units can be mounted at angles up to 30°.
Shutters
Shutters are fitted as standard to the beta series and are an optional extra on the Alpha series.
Bird Mesh
A bird-mesh guard is fitted on the Alpha model unless fitted with optional shutters.
Weather Resistance
Mushroom cowls limit water ingress in a range of weather conditions.
Protection
Manual-reset thermal protection is supplied as standard on all motors.
Testing
All units are tested to BS848:Part 1, 1980 (airside performance) and BS848:Part 2, 1985 (sound performance).
Specification
Construction
Cowls are made of UV-stabilised plastic or fibreglass. Metal components have a corrosion-resistant finish. Shutters are fitted as standard to the beta series and are an optional extra on the Alpha series. A bird-mesh guard is fitted on the Alpha model unless fitted with optional shutters.
Impellers
Impeller blades are GRP as standard with an option of aluminium where required. The impellers run in pressed steel plates ensuring a certifiable performance.
Motor
The fans are built with a squirrel cage induction motor with sealed for life ball bearings. The motor requires an electricity supply of 230V, single or 415V, three phase, 50Hz.
Control
Speed-controllable using electronic or auto-transformer controllers.
Additional Information
Contact you local Elta office for fan selections at speeds other than shown. When shutters are fitted ensure the roof unit is mounted with the shutter hinge pointing down the slope of the roof. When shutters are fitted to the Alpha series performance is decreased by approximately 15-20%.
